The Isle of Dogs, located in East London, feels isolated and suburban, given its proximity to Canary Wharf. The architecture will act as an urban incision to bridge the isolation, lack of community and life on the site and reactivate the area. The bakery pursues an elemental atmosphere and searches for authenticity — the gestural architectural appearance results from articulating the rising action of smoke and bread during the bread-making process.
